Content rules
Last updated 16 October 2026
Spawnpoint is for everyone, including younger players, so every game and store page must suit a general audience. The moderator checks every new game and every update against these rules before players can see it.
Welcome here
- Any genre: arcade, puzzle, platformer, strategy, experiments, toys.
- Games made mostly with an AI model. Say which one in “Made with”.
- Cartoon or arcade-style action, like blasting spaceships or defeating monsters.
- Spooky themes and mild peril.
- Sharing the prompt you used, so other creators can learn from it.
Not allowed
- Anything illegal in the UK.
- Sexual content or nudity of any kind.
- Anything that sexualises, exploits or endangers children. We remove it and report it to the authorities.
- Realistic gore or torture, and anything that promotes terrorism or violent extremism.
- Hate or harassment aimed at people for who they are, and games about real, identifiable people made to mock or harass them.
- Anything that encourages self-harm, suicide or eating disorders.
- Scams, phishing and fake login screens, or anything that asks players for passwords, payment details or personal information.
- Real-money gambling, or paid loot boxes.
- Malware, crypto mining, or attempts to escape the sandbox.
- Characters, music, art or code you don’t have the right to use. AI-generated assets are fine; copying a commercial game’s assets is not.
- Strong swearing, or drugs and alcohol as a focus of the game.
- Free-text or voice chat between players, in games with online multiplayer. Preset quick messages (like “Nice shot” or “Follow me”) are fine. Player names must be picked from a list or generated, not typed freely.
Online multiplayer
Games can connect to a matchmaking server to find other players. List every server your game connects to when you upload it. The moderator checks the list, and the game can reach only those servers. Online games must not collect or send any personal information.
Store pages
- Titles, descriptions and tags must describe the game honestly.
- “Made with” must name the AI model you actually used.
- Your creator name must not impersonate another person or company.
- No links or text that point players to adult sites, scams or downloads.
- Games hosted elsewhere, such as multiplayer games on their own server, can link to where they run and play inside their Spawnpoint store page. The link must go straight to the game, the site must allow Spawnpoint to show it in a frame, and everything on it must follow these rules too.
What happens if a game breaks the rules
If a new game or an update breaks a rule, the moderator rejects it with a note explaining why. You can fix it and send it again from Your games.
If a live game is reported and breaks the rules, it is removed. Serious or repeated breaches can lead to all of a creator’s games being removed. You can appeal any decision from Your games.
